For the past few years, Margaret has been actively involved in her community, supporting and promoting initiatives that benefit residents, especially underserved populations. She has volunteered in various roles, including working with homeless women and youths, serving as a resource parent to children in state custody.  In addition, she has served as an Advisory Committee Member on the New Mexico Substitute Care Advisory Council (SCAC), which is responsible for providing oversight and independent monitoring to New Mexico’s child welfare agency.
